As this will be the final meeting of this school year, our Budget Chairperson, Sharon Kramer, will present the pro-posed budget for 2025-2026, highlighting changes and answering questions from members before requesting a vote. The annual budget supports the financial stability of our organization, and the Executive Team wants to ensure that it is both fiscally responsible and reflects the goals of the organization.   Our guest presentation will feature Ms. Emily Leclercq from the Howard County Office on Aging and Independence.  Emily will share a review of services offered for seniors, including health and wellness programs, aging in place services, Medicare counseling, caregiver resources, and more.

Members can register for the meeting electronically or by using the mail-in form using links below.  We will also, as always, be accepting donations for Comfort Cases and the Food Bank.  Baskets will be available for nonperishable food items, gently used books, journals, stuffies, and personal hygiene items. HEART members' generosity is astounding, and we thank you in advance for supporting those in need.

Backpack
Comfort Cases

We’re excited to introduce a new service project, Comfort Cases. Their mission, to “inspire communities to bring dignity and hope to youth in foster care,” helps support the 270,000+ youth who enter foster care each year. Most children arrive to their foster placement with little in the way of clothes or personal belongings. Comfort Cases staff supports foster children in two ways: by providing police and social workers with new duffle bags for children to transport their belongings, and by including in those bags special “cases” filled with comfort and essential items to ease the transition into foster care.

Suggested donations include personal items (deodorant, shampoo), pajamas (particularly larger sizes), unisex journals, and new/gently used books.
