Maryland Retired School Personnel Association (MRSPA)

• is the only organization in the state that works exclusively for retired school personnel to protect your defined benefit pension

• is an advocate for its members’ interests locally in Annapolis and nationally in Washington, D.C.

• collaborates with other organizations that advocate for retirees and/or seniors like NRTA and AARP Maryland

• keeps members informed with the MRSPA News, Consumer Connection, and Member Benefit Highlights

• offers group travel to national and international destinations, as well as other social events and activities

• provides voluntary benefits to members at discounted rate​

Howard Retired School Personnel Association (HEART)

• works for the general welfare of retired HCPSS personnel, including teachers, administrators, office professionals, and all others who support the educational program in a wide variety of ways

• advocates for the health benefits of HCPSS retirees, including committee membership on the HCPSS Health Benefits Committee

• supports beneficial legislation or other action on county, state, and federal levels; to oppose undesirable legislation or action

• cooperates with MRSPA and other organizations that support retired persons 

• keeps its members informed of opportunities to serve the community and the profession

• promotes good fellowship among its members
