HEART's 2025 Scholarship Application Submission is Closed
HEART will award at least two (2) $1500 scholarships to students who graduate from a HCPSS high school. In the past 18 years, there have been scholarship recipients from Atholton, Centennial, Glenelg, Hammond, Howard, Long Reach, Mt. Hebron, Oakland Mills, Reservoir, River Hill, and Wilde Lake High Schools.
2025 graduating seniors, as well as current college students, who plan to enter the field of education were encouraged to apply. The HEART Scholarship Committee wishes to thank those students who submitted an application this year. We look forward to reading through all applications and making a selection for our 2025 Scholarship recipients. Students will be notified later in the April/May timeframe. At that time, the committee will also share the announcement with HEART members.
Good Luck to all 2025 Scholarship Applicants!
HEART Members, You Can Help Raise Scholarship Funds!
Scholarship funding comes from our silent auction/raffles held at membership luncheons throughout the year, individual donations from members, donations in the memory of or in honor of deceased members, etc. All donors for the 2024-2025 scholarship year will be entered into a drawing in Spring 2025 to win a gift card. It is not too late to contribute . . . and no amount is too small (every little bit helps)!
We need your help to raise these funds! It's easy to donate:
* You can easily submit a donation form online OR you can print and mail a hard copy.
* You can send your donation via Zelle @hocoretired@gmail.com OR you can mail a check.
Additional details can be found on the form.
Members, please share this scholarship information widely within your networks to encourage students to apply. Information for next year's scholarship application process will be shared in January 2026.

Here is an update on our 2024 HEART Scholarship recipients. These four amazing HCPSS graduates were stellar students who were active in extracurricular activities, in and out of school. And they are already finding ways to dive into the field of education and to practice their teaching skills! Congratulations and we wish them great success in their college years.
