HEART Scholarship Committee
Every year, HEART sponsors at least two (2) $1500 scholarships for Howard County Public School graduates (can be current seniors or already in college) who are planning a career in education.
Funding for the scholarships comes from our silent auction/raffles, individual donations from members, donations in memory of or in honor of deceased members, etc.
Applications are due by April 1st of each year, and the Scholarship Committee meets to determine which applicants will be awarded scholarships. These students are notified at their school’s Farewell Assembly, and their names are published in the HEART fall newsletter.
